Jihad is the Cult of Death
“For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12: 2
Jihad is the cult of death. The news reports daily that humans are engulfed in a state of hate, murder, and war. Islamic Jihad is on the scene again as hundreds of concertgoers were gunned down in Russia merely because they are not Muslim. An Imam in Lebanon said a few months ago, “We are a religion that values death”. Many blindly die for the whims of the leader without question. Studies show that 70,000 people die every day without knowing the good news of Jesus.
The killing of Christians continues as the cult of death spreads to other countries. The cult of death and murder is not confined to one culture. The attacks are done by those who have never heard the words of Jesus. More than three billion people have no access to the Bible and knowledge of the teachings of Christ.
Closer to home, Abdullah, a Muslim born and raised in an American city, was asked by a Christ follower if he’d ever had someone explain the teachings of Christ. Abdullah answered: I lived in this city for 23 years and no Christian has shared with me what the message of Christ is!”
This has to change! What kept our Savior on the cross was his love for all people. What kept our Savior on the cross was the joy that all people of the world have the opportunity to move from death to life. The cross and the empty grave are clear signs that eternal life is a reality. God has sent a Redeemer to save us from death.
This Holy Week, we need to share the message of life. The cult of death is wrong. Jihad is wrong. God loves all people.
God redeems all people. Your involvement with this ministry is God’s way to stop the cult of death and establish a new life. Your patience and endurance are so appreciated as you join us in seeing all Muslims respond to the gospel.
God bless you this Easter Celebration.
